Google has made a couple of tweaks to two of its SEO-related help documents. The changes include specifying that the title and link elements are most important to the RSS feed that follows Google Discover, and that Google parses img elements even within other elements, such as the image

Google added a new line to the Get On Discover documentation under the feed guidelines for the Follow on Google Discover feature. Google wrote:

“The most important content in the Follow feature is your feed <title> element and your per-item <link> elements. Make sure your feed includes these elements.”

Obviously, if you’re concerned about performing well in Chrome’s tracking feature, you should include the  <title> element and <link> items in your RSS feed.

The document used to say “Google analyzes the HTML of your pages to index images, but does not index CSS images”. Now it says:

“Using semantic HTML markup helps crawlers find and process images. Google analyzes HTML <img> elements (even when they are contained within other elements such as <picture> elements) on your pages for index images, but not index CSS images.”

What makes good SEO?

This comes down to incorporating keywords into your pages and content, writing high-quality content regularly, making sure your meta tags and titles are keyword-rich and well-written, among other factors. Off-page SEO is optimization that takes place outside of your website, such as earning backlinks.

What are the 3 pillars of SEO? The three pillars of SEO: authority, relevance and experience.

What are the 4 main components of an SEO? Knowing and understanding each of the 4 main components of SEO is crucial to improving a brand’s search results. Each component builds on and complements the others. The stronger the connections between each of the 4 components of SEO: technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and content, the better the results.

Which SEO technique should be avoided?

Don’t Over-Prioritize Keywords Keyword research has long been considered a cornerstone of SEO. Creating content that includes the keywords and terms your target audience is searching for seems like the most logical approach. However, overusing these keywords will seriously harm your SEO strategy.

Which SEO is unethical? Black Hat SEO, however, is the complete opposite of ethical practices. Considered unethical and sometimes illegal, it uses SEO strategies designed to “trick” search engines into giving your website a higher ranking – driving more traffic to your site.

Why Shouldn’t Black Hat SEO Techniques Be Used? If Google detects that your website is using Black Hat SEO, it can issue a penalty. If you receive a penalty from Google, it will trigger an update to its PageRank algorithm so that your website’s ranking performance will be lowered or, in the worst case scenario, the search engine will remove it entirely.

What resolution should images be for website?

The standard resolution for web images is 72 PPI (often called “screen resolution”). At this size, the pixels you see on the screen are all the pixels there are; a 4″ long image at 72 PPI will take up about 4″ of your monitor.

Is 72 ppi the same as 300 dpi? Is 72 PPI the same as 300 DPI? No. PPI and DPI are two similar things, with different purposes. PPI is for digital screens or displays only and represents the number of pixels per square inch of the screen.

Should web images be 300 DPI? More about images They say that images for the web should be 72 DPI, compared to images needed for print which should be 300 DPI.

Is 72 dpi high resolution?

Low resolution images Images used on the Internet are usually 72 dpi. This is a suitable resolution for websites as it allows for a small file size and doesn’t look visibly pixelated on most computer screens. However, 72 dpi images will ALWAYS look pixelated and low resolution when printed.

Is 72 dpi better than 300 dpi? A 300 DPI image is considered a high quality photograph for printing. More points = more quality. PPI stands for pixels per square inch, which are squares of light that fit into one inch on a monitor. A 72 PPI image is not suitable for printing because it will appear pixelated, like the right side of the image above.

Is 72 a good DPI? A monitor uses tiny pixels to put text and images together on the screen. The optimal resolution for images on the screen is 72 DPI. Increasing the DPI will not make the image look better, it will just make the file bigger, which will probably slow down the website when it loads or the file when it opens.

How many DPI is considered high resolution?

Most companies consider 600 dpi and above to be a high-resolution image or print. High resolution images require more memory to store and may take longer to scan.

Is it 600 DPI or higher quality 1200 DPI? A 1200 DPI represents that there would be 1200 dots in a square inch of print. This is doubled by 600 dpi, which denotes the highest print quality of a document.

What resolution is 72 DPI?

Resolution is now expressed in dpi (or ppi), which stands for dots (or pixels) per inch. So if you see 72 dpi it means the image will have 72 pixels per inch; if you see 300 dpi it means 300 pixels per inch etc.

Is the resolution of 72 the same as 300 DPI? The difference between 300 dpi and 72 dpi is in the amount of pixel (or dot) information for each square inch of the image you’re viewing. The more dots/pixels the image contains, the sharper it will print. When designing graphics for commercial printing purposes, your images should be 300 dpi.

How can I make a 72 DPI image? To change the DPI of an image in Photoshop, go to Image > Image Size. Uncheck Resample Image, as this setting will upscale your image, making it of lower quality. Now, next to Resolution, enter your preferred resolution, defined as Pixels/inch. Notice how the width and height figures also change.
