SEO Agencies Reveal Biggest SEO Trends in 2023 [DesignRush QuickSights]

The global SEO market is expected to reach $122.11 billion in 2028. DesignRush interviewed SEO experts to uncover the trends emerging in 2023.

, /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — According to BrightLocal, in 2020, 93% of US consumers used online search engines to find businesses and service providers. 34% searched daily, up from 27% in 2018. This coincides with the continued growth of the global SEO market, which is projected to reach $122.11 billion in 2028 at a CAGR of 9.6%, according to research and markets.

DesignRush, a B2B marketplace that connects businesses to agencies, has used its network of 16,000 agencies to provide quick insights – or “QuickSights” – into the biggest SEO trends businesses should be paying attention to in 2023.

SEOValley CEO and founder Shabir MS notes that brands should optimize their content for conversational queries to personalize user searches.

“SEO continues to be the most cost-effective digital marketing strategy, and conversational search queries will play a bigger role in 2023 as they help Google improve user searches,” said Shabir. “To optimize for this trend, tailor your content to your audience and make sure you prioritize natural language.”

According to Houston Barnett-Gearhart, head of SEO at Victorious, in 2023 companies should focus on the media they own, while prioritizing useful content.

“If 2022 has taught us anything, it’s that you can’t build your business on someone else’s platform,” said Barnett-Gearhart. “In 2023, focus on optimizing your own media. Content that reaches users where they are, with the information they need, not only builds brand authority, but also positions your site to take advantage of Google’s recent algorithm update that prioritizes user-helpful content.”

According to Ronnie Cane, director at 18 Growth, companies should reassess their link building strategies and focus on higher quality internal links.

“Effective internal linking in 2023 will require more focus than getting backlinks,” said Cane. “Internal linking is Google’s ‘go there’ finger pointing and a really informative cue that, once they point to great content, will remind them that it’s great. However, companies should not look for plugins or tools to do this. Internal linking should be done manually, meticulously and frequently.”

4) FOCUS MORE ON THE VALUE OF THE CONTENT THAN ON THE BACKLINKS

Eric M. Rudolphe, expert and founder of Moving Web SEO, draws attention to the growing importance of high-quality content not only for the satisfaction of recipients, but also for improving the position in search engines.

“As backlinks become less effective, as reported by Google, the dominance of content will continue to grow, especially well-written, fresh and informative content,” said Rudolphe. “One way to improve Google RankBrain is to determine a site’s relevance for its content value and reduce its ranking factor for irrelevant backlinks. So, to create content that people will read and share, research what your users are looking for and what type of content will meet their needs.”

The owner and founder of Htmull, James Mull, says he will focus again on focusing on the audience when creating content.

“We believe that publishing people-centric content will remain important in 2023,” said Mull. “Creating engaging content that users find useful and want to share is one of the fastest ways to grow an organic audience. We recommend using keyword tools like SEMRUSH or MOZ to analyze trends relevant to your industry and then create content that people want to watch However, it’s important to create quality content and publish it quickly as search trends can change daily”.

According to Jeremy Empie, owner of Jeremy Empie Web Design, artificial intelligence will play a bigger role in enhancing SEO strategies.

“In 2023, SEO will continue to be an important part of marketing, and AI will be one of the biggest trends,” Empie said. “More than 80% of companies already rely on some form of AI technology to make smarter decisions based on real-time data and monitor their website analytics with these tools as well!”
